Incorporation of prebiotics and probiotics to food and silage CC performs clinical trials and physiological research on the effect of foodstaffs, animal feed, animal feed additives and food supplements on the health and physiological parameters of animals and humans and on the quality of the products. CC is multifunctional centre, capable of providing an integrated approach starting with consultations related to product composition and its suitability for testing with the aim to improve its properties, to clinical and animal physiology tests.

Feeding strategies for omega-3 milk Laboratory for preparation freeze-dried bacterial cultures: scientific studies of new probiotic strains - documenting of growth parameters, optimization of technology, testing of cryoprotectants, and shelf-life of freeze-dried bacterial cultures etc.

Laboratory of silage microbiology: Microbiological analyses of silage, isolation of new strains, collection of silage bacteria, analysis of the results of physiological testing (microbial supplement fed to calves) etc. The plan is to implement new methods

Bio-Competence Centre of Healthy Dairy Products has filled requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 as testing laboratory in the field of food and feeding stuffs microbiological analyses and blood immunoassays.

Accreditation scope has given: 1.Horisontal method for the enumeration of coliform in food and animal feeding stuff. ISO 4832:2006
